English The MotionComposer is a project at Bauhaus University to make a device for persons with disabilities to turn movement into music. The workshop is for children and adults with and without disabilities. It is also for their teachers and therapists and, indeed, anyone who wants to get involved! The MotionComposer is based on motion tracking technology which we have been developing for over 15 years -- see video samples. Now we are using it with those who need it most: people who, for mental or physical reasons have a limited ability to express themselves. People with a wide range of handicaps, including severe conditions such as cerebral palsy, aphasia, autism, quadriplegia, alzheimer's and parkinson's can find a surprising and enjoyable way to express themselves. The workshop demonstrates and teaches how to use the MotionComposer. Workshop types:
